From coffee shops to Lincoln Center
James started playing in small coffee shops in 2003 and booked his first paid gig in 2005. He's been performing professionally ever since.
Over 20 years he has played for audiences large and small across the United States. That includes two full years at sea performing for Carnival Cruise Line, a multi-day Carnival corporate event at Lincoln Center in New York, and corporate events at the Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort in Naples and the QBE Shootout.
His shows combine uptempo guitar work, unexpected mash-ups and a song list that spans generations: 80s, 90s, classic hits, Top 40, classic rock and one-hit wonders. His voice has been compared to Buddy Holly and Chris Isaak.
James is also a business owner, so he understands what event planners need: clear communication, a plan for every detail and a performer who shows up ready. Before every event he confirms parking, load-in, a day-of contact and any special requests.
He has also shared the stage with Weezer.
